I recall Bhoffo has one and commented on it in a recent thread. But I can't find the thread, sorry Gus.

Thought I'd commented on this before too - and maybe put some photos up but can't find the post either... so here is a little information again..
Yep - got one of these 'GP' style Carbon babies on mine (http://www.dan-moto.com/DM_INT/gsx650f-gsx1250f-2007-2012-gp-carbon-product-656.html ) - bought the baffle insert as well for an extra $7 but that's now sitting in a box tucked away in my garage.
I've probably travelled in the vicinity of 25k with this pipe and no problems, like the sound of it, with no apparent reductions or increases in power or economy. Just a nice chunky sound (especially when you travel through a tunnel!)
When it was first on I had the 'popping' noise after backing off on the throttle - not a real worry and some people like the sound... I wanted to quieten it down a bit so removed the original plastic link pipe of the pipe to/from the Air box (immediately under the right hand side of the seat and in front of the battery) Had been told that if this was blocked off the 'popping' noise would stop - and so it did. But I wanted a little of the 'popping' so I turned up another link pipe on my lathe and drilled a small hole through it. I progressively increased the hole size until I was happy with the popping sound I was being given.. From memory I think the hole is around 9/32" dia... a fair bit less than what was originally a little over 3/8"..
The other issue is that there is no centre stand support once the original muffler is removed. I fashioned a clamp type setup out of a mild steel strap I had which worked and then changed this to stainless later (have a friend who was able to get the Stainless for me).
For the money I would be quite happy to buy another one... Can get pictures if anyone is interested...

Re: Danmoto exhaust
Thanks for that but i was trying to find out how big the CONE one was . I'm guessing its about the same length as your carbon job .
I'm thinking about getting a cone one ,covering it in carbon for that "stubby GP look ".

Re: Danmoto exhaust
I've copied what it says on the website for the 'Conical' muffler to suit a 1250 Bandit:
"The muffler is less than 1kg; including mid pipe and all mounting hardware it's in total just about 2kg.
The mufflers have 300mm overall lenght and 90mm max OD" - so the same size and length as mine (or close enough to)
If you get one I'd be interested to hear what you think of it and the sound... might be in the market for another myself..

Re: Danmoto exhaust
Sorry i can't help with the cone piece one but I did a review on this exhaust when i joined up here
https://nswbandits.forumotion.net/t2735-review-looking-for-a-cheap-exhaust-have-a-look-at-danmoto-exhaust
I couldn't post pics back then as i didn't have enough posts
Anyway......
Best $135 i spent
I really like the "popcorn" sound on downshifts and it really does 'scream' when you open it up
I do have a few 'spirited' rides with the bike and the exhaust does get nice and warm...actually you can see a nice orange glow sometimes when you turn the bike off
The rubber that goes around the carbon fibre 'deformed' after 2yrs of use
Here's a couple of pics

Re: Danmoto exhaust
My only concern with this muffler would be passing a noise test if pulled over by the RTA/Police etc.
Re: Danmoto exhaust
That's why you keep the stock one
It's not too loud on idle or when cruising at 100km/h in 6th but give it a few berries and she growls

Re: Danmoto exhaust
I like the price on these. I like how they sound after watching Bhuffo's video. That rubber strap worries me. What could you use instead I wonder?
Re: Danmoto exhaust
i used a tie down strap ,the $5 type (for 2) with a buckle on the end .Its the right width and doesn't melt .And you can used the shortened strap .
I lost the exhaust clamp in qld while traveling to Tasi .Wrapped the exhaust in a strap till i got to Vico . No problems .
I'm thinking these exhausts (small) may get hot so thats what i'll be using .

Saw these ones on the Danmoto site the other night and wondered how they would sound?? (bought the o2 sensor chip mod - cheap at $13 posted!)...
As for the heat - my carbon GP style doesn't hold the heat at all - although the stainless pipes have discoloured..
I had to replace the rubber strap in mine too after about 18 months.. Just bought a length of thin rubber from 'Clark Rubber' and glued it in place onto the stainless strap with a couple of spots of CA glue (super glue).. No problems...

I have one of these and used it for a time but took it out as I like the sound better without it.. not much louder without, just 'growlier'..

Re: Danmoto exhaust
Mine turned up this arvo .(conical shape ) Weight 1 kg .Threw the rubber strap straight in the bin .Link pipe a very tight fit but it did fit ,just .Will need the cover to hide the
ugly and large join .Link pipe certainly not marine grade stainless but we new that .
Pipe small at 300 mm ,finished in brushed stainless, looks neat enough .Perforated inner
tube with packing on the outside (or should that be inside ).Hanger strap looks cheap
and nasty so i'll make my own .Fit to my home made hanger close to perfect (got lucky )
Sound ,surprisingly good .I was expecting loud with crap noise .Instead i got a pleasant
deep sound .The packing helps i think .The look suits my bike (street fighter ) but may
look out of place with a Givi set up or the FA Bandit .
Pics tomorrow .So far well pleased .
