Pretty sure my K1 1200 has a 14t front sprocket as im at 4000 rpm at 100kph. Stock is 15T.

My bike is a little jumpy in first gear and feels to be revin a bit hard at 100k. Would going back to a 15 settle her a bit?

She has more than enough power to roll the bigger gear.

Oh and the sprocket cover looks to be a just unbolt it job. Is that right? Just unbolt the clutch slave?

yeah, the cover just unbolts, but you`ll need, i think a 30-32mm socket to undo the main nut holding the sprocket.

others may disagree, but i use a torque wrench to do it back up,which is somewhere around 115nm.

100km/h with a 15,is about 3650rpm,

i don`t understand when you say jumpy in 1st

Agree with using a tork wrench to tighten the nut, also put some loctite on the nut and wait for at least 12 hours for the loctite to go off so it is fully cured before riding if you can

as its the same engine as mine, you should have a locking tab that is bent over the main nut, plus a centre lock bolt to hold the main nut,so you only have to loctite that bolt, and its tightened to "11nm" main "nut" is "115nm"

At part throttle, and I mean just very slightly open it stutters. The clutch has a very small engagement, so its either on our off. The 2 together can be fun at slow speeds.

Could be. Once you open here up a bit further it pulls like a train.

Does it hunt (rev up and down rhythmically) at idle? If so it could be the carby balance, my was out when I first got it, wouldn't go just off idle, then it would pull your arms off Smile also I got good results from running some fuel system cleaner (additive) through a couple of tanks, my bike had not been ridden much immediately before I got it.

Idle is very stable.

Except this morning when it was 1 degree, kept stalling. On the way home at 7 degree it was fine.

It dont like the cold.
