Bandit to come - Bne Nth
Howdy folks,
I'm feeling good already - knowing us older guys are on Bandits.
I ordered a 2011 naked Bandit (non abs) yesterday. Currently on a 2011 GS500F to learn to ride again after Mcycle accident back in 2000. Plan to sell privately soon.
The Bandit seems to suit. Comfort for touring, low down torque, econ for ride to work & cheap to buy. I'll miss tucking my arthritic legs in behind the fairing on those cold mornings though (GS500F).
Will order the Ventura Touring Pack inc 47l Mistral bag today so's it setup from go. I can fit my jacket & lid in one of these.
Look forward to communicating with fellow Bandits.
How about this....going from 40nm @ 7400rpn to......108nm & 3750rpm.
Kind Rgds
Dave

Welcome Dave.
I did the same, I bought the GSX1250FA last October. My last bike was a 2009 GS500F and it sat here for a few weeks until I sold it to one of the guys at work. He'd just got his learners and wasn't confident in coming up to to pick it up, so I delivered it. Getting on the GS after a few weeks on the bandit felt strange, this was a bike I'd clocked over 15000k on and yet it felt real odd, and no power so bad at one stage I thought something must be wrong with it Also real low to the ground.
Don't get me wrong the GS was a great bike, a great learners bike and I loved it. But I love the bandit more

Hi Dave and welcome aboard. We are all nice here. Except for "P" & "R". They can be very cruel. Stay away from them and you will be OK.

Welcome Dave
Mainly because the white font on white background makes it a little hard for new members to actually see there is a Location section in the first place.
If you hold down the left mouse button and go over the profile area the "hidden" fields will be highlighted:
This is a change that Cameron should put on the top of his Board Modification List.

Welcome Dave. Naked Bandits are the best mate.
You might find the seat less than comfortable on a long haul.
