Insurance and garaged off street. It's not a BMW 1000RR or anything exotic.

You might like to consider an immobiliser

http://www.burgdesign.com.au/store/products/Tag-200-%252d-Transponder-Type-Vehicle-Immobiliser.html for $99 US

I'm sure there are plenty of others on the market

Suzuki make a factory alarm for the GSF1250. The alarm is 990D0-ALARM-000 and it needs a GSF1250 specific cable 990D0-17H00-ALM (seen it advertised for the European market models)

Having said that I am damned if I can find anyone selling them, and being genuine Suzuki, would cost a bomb.

171 Euro for the alarm and 78.50 Euro for the cable = $499.00 NZD

I got a disk lock with built-in shock/movement triggered alarm off ebay last week for $25 - it seems to work as advertised...

Jon,
How much movement is required to activate it. Wouldn't want it going off from just a liitle bump.
