Our Next Overnighter
First topic message reminder :
As i missed the Grumpy weekend away, and i am missing a weekend ride my dad and a few other are going on...
I think its time to do another overnighter!
I do an annual Tamworth ride...which i havnt done in 2 years...so im keen for that one.
Or we could do the ride south we did last year, though maybe getting cold that way by the time this ride is a go ahead.
Anyway, im easy for the destination. Doesnt worry me. As for the weekend..im easy with that as well.
Any body interested in another overnighter then?
All in say AYE!

Re: Our Next Overnighter
ok i'll go - whats the plan and do u think i need to book a motel or just do it on the night? [ ive never been there] and i trust it wont be the three amigos alone again , hmmmmmmmmmm everyone??????????????????????????????
Re: Our Next Overnighter
It would be a long days ride to do it all in one day, not my cup of tea.
If there are only the three amigos going then I don't expect anyone to go ... although I'll still go.
I'm not all that sure there are any great riding to do out there, along the way yes at Oberon.
PS
don't let me pick dates ... I don't know how to look at calendars properly.

By the most direct route its only about 350km from Sydney... for me only about 250km (the bikes barely warmed up!) so if I go I'll probably take a more scenic route via Oberon/Cowra area..

Guys,
Just so I know I have the trip details correct (I never quite know what we are doing so I might get there yet) please confirm that it is an overnighter in Parkes Saturday 12th May.

12 MAY I'll be at the coachman hotel motel in Parkes overnight ... after visiting the telescope because photos with the telescope will be better in the afternoon sunshine.Ewok1958 wrote:Guys,

Re: Our Next Overnighter
So how many definites are there for the Parkes ride?? I sent the Coachman Motel an email too but so far no reply... I'd be thinking I'm a fair certainty for the weekend... will probably have the GF on the back unless it's wet, in which case she won't go along..

Re: Our Next Overnighter
Still no reply from the 'Coachman' - can't be too stressed about business? I'd give my odds at about 80% chance of being there... will know more after next weekend...

Chaps
I am very unlikely to make it. The wife is preagant with no. 2 child and no.1 has broken his leg on the trampoline that I got him for his birthday. I have got no chance of getting away at the moment. In fact, I will consider myself lucky if I dont get flogged. Sorry fellas, was really looking forward to it, especially bhoffo and I comparing hair styles.

I'm definitely out - being Mother's Day, the law has been laid down! Guess I'll be going down to Bunnings and then doing some gardening.

So its official i wont have my lines by the weekend so im out.
So dissapointed. Its like the 3rd overnighter in a row i have to pull out of.
So if anybody is keen ill post up another weekender as soon as i have the bike on the road again. Up north, maybe Tamworth.
