Our Next Overnighter

First topic message reminder :

As i missed the Grumpy weekend away, and i am missing a weekend ride my dad and a few other are going on...
I think its time to do another overnighter!

I do an annual Tamworth ride...which i havnt done in 2 years...so im keen for that one.
Or we could do the ride south we did last year, though maybe getting cold that way by the time this ride is a go ahead.
Anyway, im easy for the destination. Doesnt worry me. As for the weekend..im easy with that as well.

Any body interested in another overnighter then?

I have a mates 21st one of those weekends which i cant miss. Ill check the date.

I went for a ride out around Oberon area today - it was Cold!! Around 10 degrees most of the way..

Bhoffo, I might meet you in Cowra. I have been dying to do that 3kms of mud again near Frogmore that Ewok and I got caught up in on our way there in October. I bet they still haven't finished the bridge works.

i'm sure if they repaired it we could find you another boggy road to go down - just so you don't miss out on any fun! (I won't be going with you though!)

All good through Frogmore and Darcey falls, roadwork is complete.
I rode out that way to Cowra a few weeks ago. the road is a little rough though.

Late May or early June probably best for me, but I might be able to make it on other dates.

Badger, where are you located mate? Good news that they have finished the bridge works near Frogmore. the rest of that road looks like it is maintained by the Country Women's Association - its all done in patchwork! But I was surprised how smooth it was. Ewok and I got along through there at a very healthy pace.

Only a maybe for me for the 5-6 May or 2 - 3 June... after long weekend of June would be fine... but not weekend of 8th July..

At the moment any weekend in May i should be available to attend the ride to parkes

none of those dates are any good for me - i have the kidster on those weekends - its a pre arranged thing - the other alternate weekends are ok at any time

What about one of these weekends then

12-13 May
26-27 May
8-9 Jun
22-23Jun

I'm interested in this overnighter aswell but i can't commit to any particular date.

I'm in Wollongong, my brother lives in Cowra and and use that route when we go up there, ie Goulburn, Crookwell, Rugby, frogmore, Darby falls, Cowra.
Your right about the road and it's upkeep.
I really enjoy the run from Crookwell to the Frogmore turn off near Boorowa. Very light on traffic and not bad road surface.
Oh yeah the daughter lives in Queanbeyan so get down that way a bit too.

Hey Baz, no wasn't me at Bald Hill on Sunday.

I can do any weekend other than 26th may. Thats my mates 21st. All other weekends are fine with me. As long as my brake likes are here =D

Some one (Not Me!) just has to say "This is the date" and "This is where we're going" - those that can fit in and want to go will do so.... those that can't for whatever reason won't.. There will always be some that will have to drop out at short notice no matter how well it's planned...

the original poster should be the one to name the date and location in the original post ... at least that would make it easier and less likely for the thread to collapse into trivial banter IMHO

ok I just changed my motel booking to 12 May ... that's when I'll be in Parkes NSW
