Ok, so I have been riding the bandit for about 2 weeks, was in sydney for a bit, and have put two tanks of fuel through.

Thoughts....

1. Obviously it is heavier on fuel than my gs500. However, it still uses about the same on freeway runs, and it is a hell of a lot more comfy especially at high speeds.
2. It rocks with two up riding, did a 70km run to the gold coast for lunch with the wife and back, sucked up the k's like they were nothing and was nice to have plenty of kick when needed on the M1 to get around trucks etc.
3. Need a bigger screen. I'm 6ft 110kg and the standard screen seems to blow the wind right into the helmet...
4. Its great for carrying gear, especially with the luggage rack, weight does not seem to bother it at all.
5. I have a staintune exhuast on, but it is hell quiet compared to the staintune on the gs500, must look into that.... baffle mean anything to anyone?
6. brushes are missing from the clutch making it click and feel rough, have ordered new part to replace ($6)
7. needs tyres in another 1000k's or so... Will be checking out the tyre threads but looking at pilot 2's at this stage.
8. Am getting use to the standard gearing now, don't want to change it, nice to sit at the 4000rpm mark at 110kph
9. needs a throttle lock for riding up and down the coast, 11kph for 30mins or so there and back and I had a sore arm playing tennis the same night...

So far that's it, I'm really liking it allot... only wish that can't come true is that it had fuel injection and I'm over chokes... but its a small price to pay for such a great bike at such a cheap price.

Glad to hear you liking it.

I know the seat is comfy for a pillion, my son often falls asleep.

Throttle lock is a good thing.

Just look in the end of the tail-pipe. You will soon tell if the baffle is there. Only need a small allen key to remove it. Check it out.
