CBR Bandit Prices
Got a newsletter from Canberra Motorcycle Centre today with some prices on various bikes. Bandit wise they are selling:
- 1250FA: $13,990 rideaway
- 1250SA: $11,490 rideaway (I thought this was pretty cheap) (incorrectly called a GSX1250SA but picture clearly shows a GSF1250SA).
They are advertised as 'new bikes' so should not be demonstrators.

I don't think I paid much more for mine in 2010. Luckily Suzuki were paying on road costs

Re: CBR Bandit Prices
I'm betting its the 2010 floor stock that they have had for some time. They wouldn't budge $100 from list price when I tried to buy a naked Bandit from them in February. So I went elsewhere and got a $1100 discount from list price and Suzuki picked up the on road costs.
Ewok, I know that you have had a good experience with CMC, but my experience has been the opposite. I asked one of the sales reps if I had won a raffle or if they treated all of their customers like dickheads.

My experience is probably best described as 'neutral' as I haven't had anything to complain about but also haven't had anything special happen to promote either. I haven't asked them to balance the throttle bodoes for instance so can't say if they do or don't have any special mechanical expertise.

Re: CBR Bandit Prices
I have, several times (both for my 650 and the 1250) and they didn't bother. There was a brief moment of hope the last services, as my brother knew one of the mechanics, but when I dropped the bike in, another mechanic did the service. Went out to Dahlitz who did it for a good price. But enough of the CMC bashing from me.Ewok1958 wrote:I haven't asked them to balance the throttle bodoes for instance so can't say if they do or don't have any special mechanical expertise.
Suzuki seem to have these price reductions and on road costs bonues fairly regularly, maybe the forum should have a sticky for the best time to buy a bandit...

Nothing of the sort.
Just an astute and factual observation.
