Does this really work?
Please watch the following video.
I know the people in Vic may have seen this, but us in NSW probably wouldnt have.
I fail to see how this promotes rider safety. In my opinion, it just strenthens the thought people have that all motorcyclists are complete wankers.
Just like a photo in a recent bike mag of a riders hand after an off without wearing gloves. I read these magazines as i have a love for motorcycling. I dont want to turn the page and see some poor buggers mangled hand because he was one of the few who do the wrong thing. To me, this turns people off motorcycling, especially the young, or new to the experience.
Just want to know your thoughts.

Re: Does this really work?
I actually saw this on another forum, and said there that I'd probably upset I few people, but I think the message is absolutely spot on, it is up to YOU to reduce the risks. No one else is going to look after you, god knows cagers aren't concerned about your safety.
A riding instructor once told me "Treat everyone on the road with utter contempt, as though their sole purpose in life is to KILL YOU, ride with that in your head, and you'll be ready for the unexpected".

I do see that it is up to us as riders to reduse the risk...
I just think the shock method doesnt work. And maybe it is a little to much to show on television.

Re: Does this really work?
Its absolutely disgusting.
It does not promote rider safety.
It actually projects an image that we don’t care what we’re doing on the roads so there’s no need for drivers to care about us either as we’ll all die anyway.
The hand held cameras and the hard cuts project “speed” not to mention the 2D view we get on TV.
