Clutch Cover Site Glass
First topic message reminder :
While I’m doing the bolt replacement I may as well replace the seal on the site glass that’s been leaking/weaping for about 4yrs.
Has anyone had the clutch cover off? Whats the sealling arrangement with the site glass? Any advice?
A part number for the seal would be handy if anyone has it too.
Much appreciated.
I had a B1250 manual on my old work laptop. I thought I had put it on a USB stick but I cant find it

Thanks mate. It's assumed the Bandit is the same so could explain why there's no parts listed for it. I might just continue to wipe the seepage up when it gets dirty. It hasn't gotten worse the last 4 years.Bosco15 wrote:Hope your VTR is ok, 2WA.
Here's a shot I took of the inside of the oil sight glass on my SV whilst I had the cover off. Looks like the glass has a rubber o-ring on the case side and polimer sealant on the oil side.

How about a good clean on the outside, and then some coats of clear rattle can paint over the area ? Might be enough to seal it (maybe ) That a oil sight glass .
