Clutch cover and chain
THe inside if the clutch cover has this .
I'm quessing its to deaden the clutch noise .Has any one taken it out to see how much differance it makes .I mean Ducati owners pay $1000s
for a Rattley clutch .
It also has a chain in there which is new to me .
I have no idea why pics are so big .Should br 6X4 ?

maybe there to redirect or prevent oil splash

THe black piece is 5mm rubber .

Didn't see the black bit cause of the way I have my screen set up. Had to shrink the screen to see it (which caused the words to get to small for me ATM)gus wrote:THe black piece is 5mm rubber .
See what your saying now.
Agree with your idea of a noise damper.
Take it out and paint it black and then leave it on the bench.
Loose a couple of grams and make more mechanical symfony noises
