First topic message reminder :

MINT TL1000S - Page 3 <a href= MINT TL1000S - Page 3 Gc502710" />Just in the process of purchasing a TL1000S on The Sunshine coast. Gus has been kind enough to do the legwork for me and checked it out this morning. He rang me from the fellas house and said, Jimmy just pay the man what he wants, you have to buy it, its showroom condition. So on that recommendation thats exactly what Im doing. It was stored under a house for years by a man that bought it new then went to the mines and hasn't come home. Only done 14700Kms. So now my only obstacle is getting from the Sunny Coast to Wagga Wagga. Can anyone suggest a reliable and careful motorcycle removalist? I disagree and have never removed them from any bike unless they start to look tatty.
Enough with the " Fat " jokes.     Aw,  you said " tatty "   sorry 2W.  silent

Same, i think the stickers look better than a bodgy sticker removal effort, which i KNOW i would achieve...

They come off easy with a hair dryer and eucalyptus oil

Im going to take the bright orange warning stickers off but leave the little "OK" recall sticker on. Decibel sticker can go for obvious reasons. I'm also pretty certain I'll remember to put unleaded fuel only in the tank.

One thing about the stickers I like,
If you hang onto it for ages, it becomes a lot more desirable as a collectors bike! I.E. original

I like the authentic look...will get a re-spray in a Wes Cooley replica type scheme and will re-appply all of the orginal stickers for that ex-factory look.

Hey JTB how did Fergussons do?

OK stickers are staying. No there not, yes they are. Steve with that post the stickers are staying. I can live with them. These thing are already collectors items and will only become rarer in original condition as you say. They've been on there 15yrs now, a few more won't hurt. I do have a mild case of OCD anyway so it was going to be difficult for me to remove them. The saddest part of this episode came yesterday when I had to peel the blue plastic off the original pipes and put them on to pass a blue slip. It was the first time fumes had past through them since they left the factory in 1998 Crying or Very sad. Before anyone says anything, I tried everything to get him to pass it with the carbon ones on but he is the local EPA wanker so what hope did I have? Had to ride a fair distance to his shop and didn't want the plastic to melt on to them.
