First topic message reminder :

MINT TL1000S - Page 2 <a href= MINT TL1000S - Page 2 Gc502710" />Just in the process of purchasing a TL1000S on The Sunshine coast. Gus has been kind enough to do the legwork for me and checked it out this morning. He rang me from the fellas house and said, Jimmy just pay the man what he wants, you have to buy it, its showroom condition. So on that recommendation thats exactly what Im doing. It was stored under a house for years by a man that bought it new then went to the mines and hasn't come home. Only done 14700Kms. So now my only obstacle is getting from the Sunny Coast to Wagga Wagga. Can anyone suggest a reliable and careful motorcycle removalist? No Dramas Paul, Fergussons were very good and very reasonably priced in comparison. Took a box with original pipes, books, pillion seat at no extra cost. Driver was good, rang three times on the way to my house to make sure everything was OK for delivery. Bike was tied down really well, as I helped him get it off the truck. Would recommend them and would use them again.

The first model (97) didn't have the damper but it was installed on a recall after many people were maiming themselves. From then on it was factory standard.

Thanks mate. The TLR is a bigger, heavier more cumbersome bike, but still a beauty. Its like the TLR is Pre biggest Loser and the S is post Biggest Loser. Twelve months ago you would have bought the R, now you want the S.Very Happy Very Happy In all serious though, its the chicken and the egg. People swear by one or the other. My way of looking at it is this, the R was made for the track so better top end ( where you hardly use it ). The S is for the street where there is 130hp of skyward pointing low, MIDRANGE and top end oomph. We will have to catch up and you can take this one for a spin mate.

I've dusted it for Gus's prints and sent them down to Latent.Laughing There's a fair bit of carbon fibre bits on it, not sure if they're standard or he's got to it. No red paint that I can see. Does it matter if the engine no doesn't match what's on the Rego papers or is that normal Laughing Laughing .

Please do one thing.        Get rid of those bloody stickers everywhere. The bike will look so much better without them.

I disagree and have never removed them from any bike unless they start to look tatty.
