Was out having a look in a few triumph dealerships to checkout a Tiger 1050 SE, none in 3 dealers I went into. [Theres's only a couple of white ones left apparently]
And went away lusting over a red Tiger 1050 Sport. http://www.ashonbikes.com/content/triumph-tiger-sport

I think Jim Coleman tested one of these a couple of weeks back.
Said it was boring..........

Would be interested in what he has to say about it.
There doesn't seem to be many demos out there yet. A fella I know has got the 2008 1050SE and he loves it, his only gripe is softish suspension.

Badger i found the tiger really nice to ride but really gutless compared to the Bandit. The wasn't much under 6k when you gave it a handful.
I found i had to drop 2 gears to zap past a car at 100k mind you i was being quiet aggressive on the throttle. But with that said the bandit is just gas it and your off, suspension was nice, seat was comfy and its not bad value for money. I was disappointed to the point where i wont be buying one but for 2k more i am serious looking at the KTM 990 SMT plenty of guts awesome suspension its sort of a poor mans ducati multistrata 20k onroad is pretty good value

Hi Jim thanks for your thoughts on the tiger.
The Tiger you test rode was it the new SPORT or the SE.
The Kwaka Z1000 sx is another bike I'm keen on but from a few reports, the seat gets a bit hard and uncomfy pretty quickly.
