Panniers for Bandit 1250
First topic message reminder :
Does anyone have panniers fitted to their Bandit 1250? Do you have to re-locate the indicators? Anyone got pics?

Reardo, I knew that was coming.
Oh and Mick I priced the beetle bags about a year ago, I think without postage was about 1700.
My Corbin seat looks awful, is IMO poorly made, WAAY to pricey, but very comfortable and does it's job well. Maybe the bags are the same.

Re: Panniers for Bandit 1250
I fitted Givi 21lt. monokey panniers to my 1250 and found them to be very good, small enough to not get in the way when the 'better half' is getting on or off the bike but still big enough to carry enough gear for a long weekend away. I have a Givi pannier frame on my 1999 1200 Bandit also so I can easily swap the panniers between the 2 bikes. Cost of frame and panniers is around $540 but I feel they are value for money. I am not smart enough to be able to add the photo of the bikes I have to this reply......... sorry. The blinkers need to be relocated onto the the mounting points that are incorperated on the pannier frames, but I would advise that you extend the cabling, I found this the be easy to do and made for a better fit.

Re: Panniers for Bandit 1250
Mate, if i can manage to post a photo anyone can ,and we need a photo.
Photobucket is your friend .If you need help ,like i did ,feel free to PM me and we will sort it out.
If we stuff it up, no big deal, we will get it in the end and everybody wants a photo.
Saikhan ,i'm surprised that's a Corbin seat. I had one on my 1200 and it looked way different to that .I know you have a 1250 but
i would not have picked it .Did you get it new?

LOL, it's for a trip around OZ. I'm camping where I can, so there's a tent, sleeping bag, mat, stove, pots/pans, utensils, etc in there as well!
...and I'll be away a heck of a lot longer than 3 days! ;-)

I thought it was 4 days i.e. forwards, backwards then inside out: forwards, backwards.

That explains it, I often wonder, as I had plenty stuff for a 10 day trip in 1 rack-bag including chain lube and visor cleaner, admittedly I did wash stuff during a rest day (sixth day) but I didn't recycle any underwear.

Re: Panniers for Bandit 1250
Mine came with a full set of Givis and they are great, big enough to smuggle illegal immigrants in, totally waterproof, very secure.

Re: Panniers for Bandit 1250
The pannier setup that came with the K8 required moving the indicators and a very agricultural look ensured. I sold mine for $1000 still boxed and use 1 of 2 seat bags when touring. A much better full time set updmann wrote:Does anyone have panniers fitted to their Bandit 1250? Do you have to re-locate the indicators? Anyone got pics?
