If nobody wants it it'll probably end up in the recycle bin. I'm sick of moving it around and trying to find somewhere to store it.

I found it a little difficult to sell std mufflers. Ive got 2 (GSXR1000 and the Bandit) that get shuffled around the garage. Cant bring myself to just chuck em out.

Don't. Find a spot in the shed somewhere, tie them to the rafters if you have to. One day in years to come someone is gonna restore one and want Std mufflers. They'll be worth a dollar by then

Man, I've one too - Plus four others from other bikes I've owned. I would have thought if someone just wanted to fix one up from a scrape they could use it.

I can't believe you are going to pay someone $50 to take it and nobody will take you up on it.
Re: Std muffler ONLY $50
Makes me wonder if there is ANY bike out there that comes with a muffler that you wouldn't change ? Hmmm. Maybe an MV Augusta ?

I have the standard muffler from the Bandit and my wife's old M750. She, my wife, has decided that she's going to buy an nice piece of dark timber, polish up the mufflers and mount them on the wall in either the lounge room or 'sun room'. (We don't have a games room).

Will they be mounted ? Or just holding hands ?

Re: Std muffler ONLY $50
My son in law bought a 675 MV Aug. The muffler is a huge metal box just in front of the rear wheel with 3 short pipes running up the side. Sounds ok when he gives it the berries but at idle it sounds like a Singer.Hammy wrote:Makes me wonder if there is ANY bike out there that comes with a muffler that you wouldn't change ? Hmmm. Re: Std muffler ONLY $50
I am after a standard muffler a bit closer to home ie Townsville QLD.
I want to try and cut it open and shorten it etc to try and alter the sound. . .
On a lighter note I cant beleive a standard muffler non sale generated so much banter
