Trivia .....
First topic message reminder :
What does everone think about a TRIVIA thread
Stuff that maybe of no use to most people but really handy to the others. Maybe a good DVD ,something they have made, seen ,heard of ,
cooked ,been too .Minor things that do not really warrant a post of there own.(like most of my stuff ,there beat you to it )
Like taking a tractor tyre up north to float your Bandit across a river to a football selection ,the taste of beer ,who's state is
better at Rugby League. (may be not that) .Something that may make someone else say ,"why didnt i think of that".
Good idea or just post it on "off topic discussions " or not post it at all? (feeling vulnerable now )

You can level with us, that's the glass prosthetics they implanted after your unfortunate collision with the tank.

Seems like a complicated way to get power to the front wheel. I would imagine there would be quite some power loss through all that.
Notice it was chained back to hold it in place during the burnout

Yamaha Stunt Bikes
I thought you guys might be interested in these stunt bikes (MT-09) I wonder why they need such strong back brakes.
Also the one closest to the camera is turbo charged, couldn't see enough detail to be sure about the other one.

Re: Trivia .....
That's an awesome set up on the rear brake. Std rear caliper actuated by the pedal and what looks like a pair of fronts actuated from the handle bars.
For what purpose, I have no idea, apart from locking up the rear.

Re: Trivia .....
The actuator for the rear brake on the handle bars is so they can do wheelies whilst standing on the seat or tail section and control the rear so as not to flip or when they sit on the handle bars and dangle the feet over the front forks, they can then do a wheelie and control it against flipping also.
Pretty ingenious all the little mods they do to stunt bikes.
You'd hate to ride them on your normal weekend scratching road though.

Re: Trivia .....
On another thread a while ago on here, someone had mentioned the speed of the 250 MotoGP bikes would be pushing a Bandit. I thought surely not - size must win every time.
How wrong I was!
I went up Mt Stuart here in Townsville with a young mate from work on the weekend, he was riding his kawasaki 300 something.
What an eyeopener to speed, control, agility and having fun on a small cc bike on twisting roads!
Learning for he day was its not always about number of CCs.

Your bandit would kill it on a straight open road though

My last bike was a GS500F and I much faster thought the Reefton and Black spurs than I was when I first got the bandit. Better now of course, but I enjoyed more the lighter handling of the smaller bike

Was it one of the new ninja 300`s?
I would have no doubt at all, that it would annihilate a Bandit through twisties.
They`re two different bikes. One is a lounge chair, and the other is more sport orientated, albeit, still a budget bike.
Once you have terminal velocity for a given road, the nature of the ninja will/should win outright on handling in twisties, as it will/should, carry more corner speed.
Scenario in hand:(although these are purpose built race cars) Aussie Race Cars vs V8 Super Cars
Aussie races, weight 450kg @ 125BHP
V8 Supercars, weight 1400kg @ 600-650 BHP
V8, has a lot more power, but in "some corners", the Aussie cars are quicker due to geometry, and power to weight ratio.
Then on another note, look at 250cc Super Karts, and these things are astonishingly quicker again, on "some corners" over the aforementioned vehicles. In a straight line, wouldn`t stand a chance.

I think a lot of that reduction in weight, was due to bowel movements.

last I heard it was 3 mins so they got an extra minute in 30 years
I don't think Oz has ever had 100 tanks. The previous thing we had was well known to be a koala (never to be exported) and the new thing is no better
Mate not what I want to be hearing! My eldest is a tanky
