Trivia .....
First topic message reminder :
What does everone think about a TRIVIA thread
Stuff that maybe of no use to most people but really handy to the others. Maybe a good DVD ,something they have made, seen ,heard of ,
cooked ,been too .Minor things that do not really warrant a post of there own.(like most of my stuff ,there beat you to it )
Like taking a tractor tyre up north to float your Bandit across a river to a football selection ,the taste of beer ,who's state is
better at Rugby League. (may be not that) .Something that may make someone else say ,"why didnt i think of that".
Good idea or just post it on "off topic discussions " or not post it at all? (feeling vulnerable now )

Anyway, the Doc said he was too busy and that I actually didn't need to have it checked until I was 50! ..Dont think thats right.. am searching for a new doc as I reckon he just couldn't be arsed... swes the pun.
good news for you gus?

Speaking of washing machines, I bought my Whirlpool second hand off Ebay for $150 in 2007, so far fitted a motor coupling $30 and a water pump, just recently, $70, I think I'm ahead

Re: Trivia .....
Has anyone else had a hard time finding a good place for the rego label. May be i'm being too pedantic but i'm having trouble on the bandit.
Below the number plate-Spoils the hole look of the rear
On the chain guard, rectangle in front of round wheel ,still not happy.
Thats about it,everywhere else it just wont fit. I've spent hours looking at it .
On the screen--please lets not go there.
Cylindrical-non legal and not much better.
I believe W.A. doesnt have them ? That would solve the problem.
What about a tiny round sticker, colour co-ordinated would be nice. What goes with pink ?-Grey -Yes now were talking.
Any one got a spot that looks acceptable ?
Where it is at the moment ,still not content.Green and Yellow .I want a grey one.

Re: Trivia .....
Not so much trivia, more an observation.

Hugh was part of Redgum too. He sang Spirit of the Land and the Diamandtina Drover. Also an excellent guitarist.

Not sure who wrote it but Gladstone Pier is a beauty too.
Redgum could have been another Midnight Oil with their political angle.
Re: Trivia .....
Yep, I do enjoy playing that song loud :-)2wheelsagain wrote:Not sure who wrote it but Gladstone Pier is a beauty too.
They are very similar in the fact they were/are political. There was a Q&A part of the night, which worked pretty well. John was asked why Redgum didn't get a mention on a book of best aussie songs or something along those lines, he answered that Redgum were a fiesty band and people to this day still do not agree with what they said or how the said it.Redgum could have been another Midnight Oil with their political angle.
The questions about Only 19 were interesting too. They did a prologue/dedication before they sung it, it's a timeless song which still works today. I'm glad I was dragged along to that night

Re: Trivia .....
There was an aussie hip hop band recently that did a cover of only 19. Cant remember who it was but they did an alright job of it. Covers are never as good as the original though are they?
