New member in Sydney
Hi guys,
I thought I would introduce myself as I have visited your site for some time now. This is the first forum I have joined so far. I considered black sheep as a forum name to pre-empt the kiwi jokes I might cop as I have noted many of you have quite a sense of humor. However I thought better of it.
I have a gsf1250sa (09 still with warranty) which I bought with 5500km on the clock (blue). I have now clocked up 13000km ++. I have made a few mods as follows:
Radguard
K&N Filter
Yoshi R77 carbon tip
PR2's
I managed to get the R77 direct from Aussie distributor delivered for under $500.00 ( I think the price must have come down) and it was easy enough to install. However after install I felt it had created a flat spot somewhere in the rev range. I spoke to a mechanic about this issue and he said he had a software program that cracks into the bikes computer software that allowed him to re-map the bike without requiring a power commander. He did this and estimated a possible gain of 8-9hp. He also added the K&N filter. I have no way of knowing if there is a power gain as it has not been on the dyno. All I know is The flat spot is gone and the bike appears to be significantly better all this for $100.00 + air filter - happy with outcome.

Welcome to the site.
I just have to add however that noone on this site would stoop so low as to pick an obvious and way to easy target as the sheep subject.
At least for a day or two.

The terrain looks like Australia, but obviously due to the content it is New Zealand.

Lived in both - Christchurch and Dunedin in the south and too many places to list in the north and three separate states in Oz. Family from central north island area.
