G'day from new member Halcien from Sydney
Found this site while looking for some info on the new Michellin Road Pilot 3. Looks to be better than RP2.
Ride a 2009 GSF1250 with 9,000K which is still new(ish) but now need to replace my first set of tyres. Not sure how to load a picture of the bike though.
Usually ride at weekends with the local Ulysses group (about 300 - 350k each) mostly around southern Sydney national park, Kangaroo Valley, Robertson areas.
Looking forward to exploring the site.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum.
I have just joined too and already found it usefull and informative.
For what its worth I have just put Road Pilot 3s on my 1250 S (to replace the 2s). I had no problems at all with the 2s and the 3s are probably a bit better in the wet. A very good choice.
Got about 12K from the 2s.

Welcome aboard. Amazing if the Dunlops lasted 9,000 kms.

Thanks Ewok1958 & Grumpy60 for letting me know 9000km on OE Dunlops is good. Others I know of only got approx 5000km so I must be a slow rider. Bit hard to ride slow on a Bandit though.
Also good to hear from Warwick that you got 12000Km on your Road Pilot 2's. From reports I have read, the RP 3's have more secret ingredients that should make them last longer than RP 2's. I guess you get what you pay for.
I have booked with my local tyre fitter but he's waiting for new stock to be delivered so they must be popular. Problem is, I'm grounded until the new tyres can be fitted as I've started to slip/slide which isn't a good feeling.
I'll give a report once they are on.
Cheers all

I fitted PR3's 1200kms ago. So far they have been great currently riding to Melbourne and back this week and the tyres are great in the wet and believe me I have been through so wet weather this weekend so far. Enjoy your ride. Ps I got my tyres from Jake Wilson in the us and then with shipping and fitting still only cost me $500.
