*Arrow race headers with Yoshimura TRS.

Awesome and that's not a word I use much. However I think you have to lose the main stand, so that's a deal breaker for me. But I could change my mind, I like things to be symmetrical.

Don't forget you'd have to factor in a Power Commander and Dyno tune to make it run right as well.
BTW no one commented on his security system that lets him start it remotely, am I the only one who hasn't seen that before?

Re: Dual zorst on a bandit
Thanks Reardo,
That inspired me to look further, this is the one he appears to be using, always more expensive for motorbikes.

Stop winding me up RE- Cycled.
So i'm guessing about $3300 for the exhaust system plus mandatory power commander plus dyno time equals about $4000. That's a very
good second bike.It was nice though wasnt it.
Then we have to controversially ask ourselves if we had a spare $4000 would we spend it on the Bandit or buy another bike a bit more exotic ?
That's nearly a new post .

Re: Dual zorst on a bandit
I really cant see why a link pipe cant be made up to suit the origional cat and then a new hanger for the exhaust on the left.
You loose centre stand yes but a good exhaust shop should be able to make a link pipe for under $200 plus muffler $500+ depending on brand you require and bracket to join pillion bolts. Should be able to do everything for under 1000 and not need any dyno or power commander.

How did he get a left side R77? They're not symmetrical. Maybe he removed the end cap and turned it around - is that possible?

Didn't you watch the video? It says the left hand side is from a Hayabusa, the right off a Bandit.

Pointless.. why add extra weight, the Bandit is already a heavy bike

Re: Dual zorst on a bandit
reddog said it. Weight, expense, same noise - and who would really notice? Are we on our way back to 4 exhaust systems?

Wonder how he got past the having to hold the clutch in, to start

Re: Dual zorst on a bandit
He would have hot wired the clutch switch. I've done the same thing on my DRZ400 side stand switch as you don't really want the bike cutting out when you are going over whoops etc.
You certainly wouldn't want to leave the bike in gear when showing off to someone... hey look at this cool feature.... Bang!..... Cry

Re: Dual zorst on a bandit
Some of the Brits that have fitted them have found that they actually loose 5-6hp when fitted to non efi early bandits even after tuning
And they run really badly in the midrange if not dynotuned
I spent a long time looking into this on an oil cooled bandit and the best way was to buy a set of headers from a GSXR1100 K,L,M model with twin mufflers and then modify a set of mufflers to fit from the same model
But they sit too close to the sump and need a little modification ( large engineers pein hammer works apparently) in the way of a few small dents strategically placed in the collector
But Just too heavy and you need a left side hanger as well
Never looked at the watercooled models of the bandit

Re: Dual zorst on a bandit
You coul do it easily with arrow headers. You'd just need to make two new link pipes. Still more weight on a heavy bike.

Re: Dual zorst on a bandit
I personally like the look of the dual exhaust, it appears to be relatively simple if you can get the custom "Y" pipe made (assuming it's going onto Arrow headers like the OP). I would think a good exhaust shop should be able to do that. Then there is the welding of the exhaust hanger onto the left passenger foot bracket. The exhaust itself is a standard left Yoshi can for a Busa. As for the weight, well you do loose the centre stand as part compensation
Probably not much change out of $1,000 is my guess if you had to pay for all the work and the dyno re-tune, less if you can get the manufacturing done by mates in the trade.

Re: Dual zorst on a bandit
Or you could have it with the Arrow header 4-2 and stay that way in to the dual exhaust.
Should be easier to make. My old CBX550 had 4-2 to dual exhaust and sounded good.
