Suzuki Confusion
After drooling over a heap of bikes of all types and brands and even some mongrel mix & match choppers on Saturday at the Melbourne Motorcycle Show I'm still scratching my head as to why Suzuki would have 3 bikes essentially the same but call them by 2 different names.
Until Saturday I was under the impression the new black engined Bandit variants were now GSX1250xx (not a Bandit) but I'm now informed that only the FA is a GSX and all others (s & n) are still GSF Bandits. I didn’t believe the sales dude so I grabbed a 2010/11 catalogue and read it yesterday and it says the same thing. Just sounds a bit confusing and a marketing nightmare.
Anyway there wasn’t a GSR750 there only a 600 which still looks horn. A black Busa was calling my name though.

I had my first real close look at the B-King on St too and as they say its a love it or hate it look.
They're as wide as a bus from from front on and its just useless plastic stuff housing the indicators.
Stick em on storks and narrow the thing Suzuki.
From side on they're good looking but you wont see many adverts with front on shot.

What I find annoying (and it isn't doing Suzuki any good) is that Motorcycle Trader and probably other mags as well when reporting sales, treat the naked, "S" and "FA" as if they don't belong to the same family - so the reported sales figures for the Suzuki 1250 are meaningless.

Suzuki themselvs have separated the FA from the others. The naked and S are still GSF's

That's right, it's so that the GSX650F has a "big brother". Both bikes are considered "Bandit-derived", but not part of the GSF family.

Mine have the model as GSF107 as well, but the variant is GSX125.
I guess it all depends on the what the person at the RTA punches in.
The Inspection Certificate from Suzuki states the model as "28511 GSX1250FAL0"
