Bandit 1250 indicators not working

Hi All,
Recently the indicators (all of them) on my 1250 FA stopped working. Checked fuse and changed indicator relay, no luck. went looking and found a couple of black wires broken and dangling under the dash. These are pretty obviously the problem, as when I inadvervently crossed them, the indictor fuse blew.
The two black wires exit from a plug directly above the plug that connects the right front indicator. Black-white and brown in, two black out. Things is, I cannot for the life of me see where the broken ends were connected. Any help out there?
