Re: 1250 bandit
Welcome to the forum Wayne . Mine is the 2010 non abs model , but I know of others on here who have put braided lines on the abs model & had problems bleeding all the air out of the system .If you type brakes in the search box , that may help ....................( your hoses might be getting a little soft by now anyway ) Different pads might help as well .

Re: 1250 bandit
Welcome to the the club Wayne have a great Xmas on the Bandit . I have a 2013 Bandit with ABS and have the same problem with the brakes. Have been told I need to use a vacuum pump to bleed them properly which I will be doing in the next couple of weeks, will let you know how it goes.

Gday Geesesexar - AKA Wayne,
A Sunny Nth QLD Welcome to you!
I'll ask the age old question before any of the Bandit Bretheren or Sisters do -
What are brakes?
From me personally -
What are ABS?
PS: I ride a 2002 1200S

Re: 1250 bandit
Hi Wayne, welcome. I have a 2010 Bandit with ABS too, no braided lines or anything other than standard and the brakes are great! I've ridden it back to back with a non-abs 2010 Bandit and they feel similar in action. Guess it's time to find someone who can vacuum bleed those brakes. If you are anywhere near North Brisbane, try Ekkie Schafer at Sandgate, he has serviced my bike from new. Good luck.
Re: 1250 bandit
Try a set of ebc HH pads. Then leash or on a Brembo master cylinder

Re: 1250 bandit
Welcome Wayne. Are you sure you're not expecting too much and comparing the 1250 to the GSX in the braking department?
In what way are they woeful? Bandit brakes are generally considered "adequate" and I've had bikes that braked better and worse.
Front end handling is usually complained about before brakes.

Brembo radial master cylinder, I have a friend that has done it and swears by it.
