Well the Black Bandit is Gone
Yes my black in color & black enginned 2010, but purchased new 2011 has left my ownership.
Ordered a new Red Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro with silver top opening expedition panniers, top box and the lower engine crash bar that comes on the Rally Pro.
I say to non Bike people its hamburger with the lot, plus double pineapple ring and potatoe cake within.
The more I view it on You Tube the happier I'm with getting the GT Pro. I sat on a 900 Rally Pro in the shop and at 5' 8" with Rossi's on it was tip toes on the level shop floor.
The GT will take me offroad on gravel roads or say 80km joining gravel between the hot mix fine and be better for road and I did want the electronic dial in suspension.
Expected arrival late March, but I reckon end of April is more like it. If l had missed this securement it was November.
My brother a few weeks back secured a Tiger 900 Rally Pro too.
The Bandit was quick and had grunt galore and a retro big 4 in row style 1980's like my long gone Boldor F2, but its time to have all the tech on board and enjoy what might be my final 12 yrs of riding in style.

Re: Well the Black Bandit is Gone
By all accounts the 900 Tiger is very close to the bandit performance figures which is ample.
The new Tiger 1200 looks a real Beast but it will be big and heavy and at 63 whilst I'm good for it now, in 7 yrs it might/would be too much weight and bulk.
Looking forward to some big trips with it.
Got to luv the Bandit though and it served it's time well.

Thanks all, never been so happy to spend the money with the solid riding reports on this Model.
Prices on the Tiger 1200 were released last wk W/C 17/01/22. Being some $5,500+ more than the 900cc Tiger, which makes me feel like a bargain was had with the power as mentioned still very similar to the bandit for the 900cc.
My wife can't pillion with me anymore due a medical condition, so 900cc is fine for me.
I will feel a lot better riding with all the safety electronics and new optimised-cornering traction control and new optimised-cornering ABS. Including full LED lighting/DRL/twin auxiliaries. I've read the high beam is a weapon if one needs to flash. Plus the Brembo's front & back.
Always been concerned if something happened to me whilst out riding, as my wife would need care. So what ever added safety and road handling manners the new bike has, the better.

5.5k in pocket and probably a few kg lighter than the 1200.
Winner
How much more power does joe average need on dirt bike?

Re: Well the Black Bandit is Gone
Well, Picked up the New Triumph Tiger 900 GTPRO in Korosi Red with Expedition Panniers n Top Box and lower engine bars today.
I'm blown away by the handling in every aspect just phenomenal, even at just basic roundabouts.
Exceeds my expectations and so much more to learn about the Beast and its onboard hi tech.
Can't wait for it to be run in and put it into Sport mode and currently using Road mode, first service already booked in.
Alpine rides are 50 mins away for me, money so well spent.
Oh the sound of the engine is outstanding too.
Just as well I didn't pick it up yesterday as it was my wife's birthday, that may have not gone down well.
