Wondering how black engine owners keep the exterior of the black Bandit engine/gearbox clean.

Is there a secret something to keep the surface in good condition, other than a wash.

Wax, silicon spray?

Thank you.

A ligt spray of WD40 or similar. Then a light wipe over to prevent runs will give you a like new look. Very Happy

Turtlewax Ice polish. Works on everything including plastic with no white residue like wax.

Many thanks here Bandits.

I guess generally keeping up the cleaning and lightly treating the surface as you suggest, is the go.

My black engine looks so clean at present and was wondering if the black finish deteriorates with time, with heat and exposure to the elements.

Regular attention is easy to give to my Bandit (understatement!!) so the black heart of the beast will be attended to frequently.

Thanks, GGiant
