Video Challenge
One of Potatomasher's videos gave me the idea, everyone should post a video ride from home to the local surf beach.
Sorry about the quality, just a practice run.
I look forward to Reardo's DVD boxed set.

Re: Video Challenge
was that you on youtube? i didnt realise. and you are right - there is a lot of jello effect in that - apparently the CMOS sensors do it [as well as vibration] and the ccd ones are better. it has to do with the way they write from the top to the bottom of the frame [or something].
if there is no beach the nearest water will do [drains not counted]

Re: Video Challenge
I'm up for that. Do you want to watch 30km of video though?
Could probably edit it to 3 mins but it could be anywhere then.

Re: Video Challenge
Given that I had a video camera (which I don't) it'd be a pretty long video if you want a surf beach.
We had a beach in Wagga, but the last flood washed it away......

Actually I saw a video on You Tube once, sort of a time-lapse /speeded up version, driving from LA to New York I believe, it was pretty "cool".
Good old Google:

Feedback (after uploading!) from the chef is that it's a bit fast.Re-Cycled wrote:WhoaBam-ba-lam2wheelsagain wrote:Black Betty goes to the beach

I havent adjusted the speed just the length of time each pic is shown but I have full control over speed from -500% to +500%
I think I'll use 10 stills per minute next time instead of 6 even at the same speed for more detail.
Do you or anyone else think its to fast?
Re: Video Challenge
i just had another look at that American one, and it looks as though they have used one shot about every 2 or three seconds [it isnt continuous obviously - its been cut and edited

They have used a few tricks there masher. Some are stills and some is video sped up. There is a fair bit of continuous video on the open roads.
Still looks good but the editor has more speed options than I have. Maybe a semi pro bit of software.
