New Bandit in Adelaide
Hi all.
I've just purchased a 2008 1250 Bandit. I went to Sydney to buy it so had the ride back to Adelaide to get to know it. It has a bit more grunt than my last bike - Honda NC700s - which is a significant reason why I bought it. My bike previous to last was a Suzuki gsx750f, and I missed the solidity and power. Happy to have a Suzuki again, and enjoying the massive torque of the Bandit.
I ride to work every day (short distance - about 15 minutes - plus rides on the weekend and occasional longer trips. Looking forward to putting a lot of km on this one.
Thanks for all the info I've gleaned already!
Cheers,
Paul

Welcome Paul, what part of Adelaide are you from, I'm from the Western Suburbs, another regular, Paul, is from around Reynella way.
When the weather calms down and gets to 30 or below we should arrange a ride somewhere

Welcome Slorider. How did you find the seat on your first and very long ride?

Re: New Bandit in Adelaide
G'day Ewok. Seat was better than my last bike, but just barely. I can still feel the bruising when I hop on the bike to ride to work! I've never ridden a bike with a comfortable seat. I think I might end up actually spending some money at the local trimmer - worth a try, especially as the seat has a few minor bits of damage.Ewok1958 wrote:Welcome Slorider. I do like a long ride, though, and the Bandit makes it easy. First time I've had a bike that could so easily overtake without dropping a gear.

Paul and I should catch up for a ride one day, you're not that far from him where you are, really not that far from here either

Would be good to meet a few people. My biggest challenge at the moment is finding time. I'm working full time and studying part time, and trying to make sure my kids and wife still recognise me...!

Re: New Bandit in Adelaide
I'm doing a shout out to the newer SA members in case they missed this on the event thread
https://nswbandits.forumotion.net/t6762-south-aussie-catch-up
We've got 2 from Adelaide confirmed
One making the trek from Whyalla
2 riding all the way from Melbourne
+ Cal in Strath who is without a ride atm
It'd be nice to meet a couple more locals for the ride and/or the overnight stay
cheers
