G'day from Adelaide
Just a quick intro from Jenks in Adelaide.
Been reading this forum for a long time .. check it every day .. lots of good info and banter .. love it
I guess I'm officially an 'old bugger', being 57.
Had bikes from a lad but got off them for 20 years - was into sailboarding and then kids - so just wasn't finding the time.
Hit 50 and well, the 'old bloke - let's get a bike' syndrome kicked in - bought a TDM 850.
That did me for a while and then got the urge for something else - Bandit time.
Much like my last bike from the 80's - Suzy 1100G - so was easy to get used to.
Ride it every day and every year or so head off to the Snowies for some fun.
Mods - Scorpion can, MRA Vario screen, radiator guard, Givi top box and cases, Oxford heated grips, and, as of yesterday, full Stage 2 from Dale Walker (and thanks for all the useful info on here - which is what prompted me to join up - have just posted in Mechanical as all went well and then bike has cut out and now refuses to start
In any event, it'll end up fixed and I really enjoyed actually doing the spannering and appreciated all the info I got from this site.
All the best.

Welcome Jenks, I am in Strathalbyn. There are a few of us from SA. Will have to catch up for a ride!
Re: G'day from Adelaide
Thanks Cal - catchup sounds good - ride most week ends, weather permitting.
Often do the Bull Ck, Ashbourne Rd to Strath - pity Bull Ck is now only 80

Nice one.
Just a few minutes ago I sent my cashoolie to Dale for just the very same thing....
What is your opinion of the set-up???
I love the look and convenience of the twin k&n oval filters....
EDIT: oh yeah I read your post in mechanical and damn that sounds annoying. Have you asked Dale what he thinks?????
I don't have EFI and I'm paying local dyno specialist to install mine, so hoping I won't have that problem

Re: G'day from Adelaide
G'day Stu - doubt very much it's Dale's kit - I've disconnected it and still won't start.
For the 50k or so that I had it working, was fantastic - as I think Gus said somewhere, 'takes the bland out of the Bandit' .. or something like that. Bike felt like it had a new motor - more grunt everywhere and the sound of the induction was just magic - somehow felt smoother and just more responsive to throttle. Thoroughly recommend it and Dale was fantastic to deal with.
And no - haven't asked Dale yet - will do so now.

Re: G'day from Adelaide
I don't find the bike bland at all, but mine does have it's issues... and I'm thinking that this will go some way to addressing them....
more smoothness and more power are just the beginning
Your system completely different from the one I ordered though.... I get lots of new jets for the carbies and a couple of new air filters, completely removing the air box....
Can't wait now.....
Yeah it sure is interesting though how the engine "changes" with better fuel / air delivery....
