Gday all , just getting back into the Frey after 22 years , i had an original Bandit 1200 which i brought new in 1996 , and just picked up a showroom condition mint one owner 2010 with 8 k on it , cant wait to get back into it , funnily enough, out of curiosity i checked the reg on the old one , and its still vic registered and running around somewhere

NO that's 8 thousand kilometers and its a 2010 , cost me $ 7 k , i tried to post a few pics of it and my original Bandit 1200 , but i have to be here a week before i can post pics apparently

Welcome mate. I'm sorry you bought the slow "Ort Grey". That colour was double slow with the silver mill so its not as bad as it could besteve61 wrote:" />
Please think very carefully if braided lines are a consideration. You'll have no end of fun getting the ABS to work again (and brakes in general)

I believe you have to bleed them from the calipers back. With the abs you have quite a long hydraulic line for the front, the part where they mate up from the front calipers to under the head stock does not have a bleed nipple on this model .The later gsx has a revised manifold for want of a better word that has a bleed nipple .
