Bit quiet lately
The forum seems to be a little quieter lately , is it just a temporary lull , or has the SBA facebook page taken over for popularity ? ( for those of us not on facebook )

2 different things with very different content.
A few things could be effecting passing traffic, just to name a few;
It's winter,
There's no talk of meets,
A number of members have turned over to the dark side and swapped the Bandit for something else

I'm still here, just got nothing to say . . . the Old 02 is still going strong . . . awaiting the 100,000 klm mark.
That's it from me.
That's it from me.

Would that mean you would be sitting around indoors on the computer then (but possibly with nothing to talk about I suppose ......unless of course you ride all year round )madmax wrote:It's winter.

Re: Bit quiet lately
Here! and it's time to play. I "work" at the snow in VIC. Starting Saturday.
Things to do: get a big stock of wood organised (SWMBO likes the house warm while I'm away, does not cut wood), Put the Bandit on the centre stand. Pack the snowboard (and all the other stuff), take a load of firewood to the daughter on the way, check into the new digs. I ride a snowboard to work in the morning.
Nice views from the Winter home. Great company. It's playtime! I'll be back when the lawn needs mowing, or I have to update my 1st Aid. But no motorbikes. Snowmobiles yes.
I like Winter.

On a GS1200 now, but I'm not on a BMW forum.
If you've got nothing to say, say nothing.
EDIT: Great to read things are going well Gus. Happy birthday Baz, 2WA. Keep the jokes coming Paul.

Learn all you can mate if the opportunity is there to do it............I sometimes get the feeling that I have forgotten more than the ones coming through these days are being taught in my trade.

Re: Bit quiet lately
I suppose with regards to Bandit mechanicals or mods, everything that is worth doing has been done by someone already and search engines are great things. Now that the Bandit name is at end of life, we may find that people are moving onto other machines. Here in Canberra I haven't seen one Bandit yet but ship loads of adventure bikes.

Adventure bikes seem to be popular in general lately . I suppose one day this forum may need to diversify a bit model wise ( name included ) to cater for a different membership base .Ironman wrote:I suppose with regards to Bandit mechanicals or mods, everything that is worth doing has been done by someone already and search engines are great things. I've always regarded my 02 as an on road adventure bike.

Re: Bit quiet lately
I still keep tabs on you rabble
Just when I ride I cant really shout from the roof top and tell you about the great day I had on brand H or M.
Additionally I'm in license preserving mode and riding less often but longer rides when I do. I shoot at the local MX track most Saturdays I'm not working so really only have Sundays or days off to ride.
On the plus side my photography has really improved

A few of us have migrated to include the Vstrom. Great bit of kit and in my opinion alot better value than the BMW and just as capable. Maybe a new heading for these machines?
