^^^ x 11ty billion.
Why not go all the way and open a shop in Townsville. A city of 175 000 plus people and we don't have a motorbike wrecking yard.
If I knew anything about bikes I would consider it.

Imagine working on someone else's bike and it falls off the bike lift . Or it catches on FIRE .
Today I walk out and there is a pool of fuel under the bike . Turns out to be a bad rubber seal in the fuel tap . I flip the seal over and it seals .
Sadly I decide my 1200 bandit has to find a new home . (rego increase )
Hopefully everyone will hate the retro paint job and it wont sell .
Its the best paint job ever . When was the last time you scratched your tank and said . "Cool , another bling effect "

I heard it happened today in Adelaide, Micks Motorcycles apparently tipped a customers bike off the lift doing a tyre change today, allegedly landed upside down
Re: $400 and looks GOOD.
That's why bike shops have insurance. Fits would be better off teaching people how to do this stuff. Pity there is no repco for bikes nearby. I'm sure with word of mouth you'd get plenty of customers anyway.

Forget what state the bike is in, in this photo, but you get the idea, and I`ve seen the same basic principle used at a bike tyre joint in Brisbane. When he`s changing tyres on customers bike, he does what I do, and suspends the bike, at key strong points, eg: top triple clamp, remove the seat and attach to frame, etc: It`s a fail safe, and will never fall over.

Re: $400 and looks GOOD.
Went for a 60 kl ride today around coast to try and sort fuel problem . Bike ran great for about half way and then felt "flat ". (again )
I figured
when I got home carbs would have to come off again .I should enter the Olympics for speed removal of Bandit carbs ,I done it so many times .
Now what are the chances of finding the air fuel mixture screw ,the spring and the tiny washer sitting on top of the engine block enjoying the view .
The rubber o-ring had gone but how the rest of the bits stayed there I have no idea .
Turns out it wasn't screwing all the way in . It felt like it was seated but still had about 2 turns to go . Turning it out the recommended 1-7/8 had it ready to vibrate out .(which it did ) . May be now it will feel 100% right which it never has .

Check that the fuel tank is breathing properly Gus. Happened to me in a car once and it was bloody hard to diagnose but super simple to fix.

Re: $400 and looks GOOD.
I had no intension of keeping this bike ,yet I still have it . Even after selling "the good Bandit 600" and my 1200 Bandit .Every time I rode it I kept thinking what a great bike for Tasmania and hence sold my 1200 . I had some parts left over from projects ( freight costs kill selling some items ).
It got a 1200 swingarm (straight fit )and hydrolic clutch instead of cable .

I did a compression check today , I couldn't believe the results . 150-160-160-150 . . I was expecting a lot worse after using second hand pistons and not
even bothering to measure them 18 months ago .
