ignition retard wire b1200 Empty ignition retard wire b1200

hi everyone,
ive come across sonething online about an ignition retard wire / wires on 1200s that affects 2nd and 3rd gears.
disconnecting it apparently restores the advance and performance in those gears.
does anyone know about this?

Can't remember where I heard it , but I thought that was only on some overseas models...................
