$1000 tl1000s project

First topic message reminder :

Bought off Gumtree, bike in pieces ,had been a spill .I had no idea what condition it was in ,or how many pieces missing . If it turned out bad at least I new there was more than a $1000 worth of part I could sell off
I picked it up at night time after driving 1100 kls  one way. They guy said ,do you want to check whats here ," no , lets just chuck every part in the ute .motor in the front thanks". It was pitch black outside so I hoped I left nothing behind .

Would you believe I havnt sat on it yet . I need a exhaust gasket .

Hang on - what's wrong with the exhaust on it Gus? It looks fine in the photo

I quite like it - the sort of thing I have half floating about in my head for the TRX.

If it is a short term fun bike ...........great idea , but if it is an investment / collection article , I would leave it standard , it will be worth more later

I'm tempted to put it back to stock , but seeing I have 2 stock ones (one might be sold ) I might "see what happens "
Or ,wait till I see gauges and headlight at the right price .

Its going back to stock . Stupid gauges will not give me tps reading ,fuel level or error codes . How am I supposed to tune a motor of unknown history . The motor sounds great but it needs fine tuning .
