As a wee young'un My first proper store bought bike was a TS100.
A friend bought one of these at the same time (proper Honda dog dick red mind you) We were always swapping so I spent hundreds of hours on one.

They were both primitive hunks of shit steel but we thought they were the greatest machines ever made.

Out of interest, I would have preferred the SL but it was $425 off the showroom floor. The Suzuki was $400 and I didn't want to work my after school job for another three months to earn the extra $25.

I put a notice on the local shop board for ,Wanted Cheap Project Bike .
Less than 24hrs later a guy rings me with the offer of a sl 100 for $600.
Apparently it runs ,has spares but is in storage . Will be about 3 weeks till he can get key for shed .
I so hope he rings back and says " come and have a look " like he says he will .
I like the idea of a single as I certainly can not afford another "big bike project " like the tl's .

See, old bikes do appreciate.  Up from $425 to $600 in only 46 years. It'll be worth a goddam motza in 2364.

Good stuff @Gus. My first bike was an Honda XL70, which was a touch smaller than that bike. It did have all the road gear on too such as indicators and lights. I had some great times on that beast.
