Here's a good buy
Not many of these old girls come up for sale.
Still one of the best bikes I have owned.
K model GSXR750. The Slingshot version. Short stroke motor. A four stroke that really does have a power band like a two stroke.
They changed the stroke on the following model and lost all of the charm.
Even my '03 750 felt sedate, despite having more power, after the Slingshot.
I'll never forget my first track day, back in '92, when I learned that the power delivery I thought my bike had between 5-8000 rpm was nothing compared to the kick in the pants once she came on the boil at 10500!
Nearly high sided coming out of turn twelve in the wrong gear, hoping to get some power down for the straight.

Eligible for historic rego, I'd be all over it if it where closer.

Not personality aware of the rules in NSW. The bike is in Vic and that's what's claimed in the ad.Re-Cycled wrote:I thought it had to be 30 years or over for historic rego. ?
Just thought it was worth a post as, IMO, they were a cracking bike.

Would be great, I wouldn't mind an historic as long as it doesn't break the bank.
One of those would be ideal but who knows what thw final price would be .

It varies from State to State
we've been screwed over in SA, in 2012 someone decided it had to be built prior to Jan 1979 to have any historical significance (unless it was already on the historic scheme as a 30+yo vehicle before July 2012)
