Crash knobs - Where do they mount? Empty Crash knobs - Where do they mount?

Post  Cardboard Tube Samurai Sat 26 Sep 2015, 2:31 pm

Looking at purchasing some crash knobs that will hopefully forever remain a redundant feature of my bike. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light as to where exactly they mount to on the bike, preferably with pics. I've heard horror stories of bikes such as the z750 having to mount them to the engine casing, which has caused problems when bolts have sheared off, or cracked the alloy casing

For which bike?

As far as I know there is only one brand doing them for the GSX1250FA and that is R&G I did a write up on them here

For the naked bikes try Oggy knobs as suggested

Yeah sorry, noob post. GSF1250S. Got a chance to buy some cheap and just trying to see if it's worth it. Like I said, hoping they would remain redundant and unused but if they're cheap...

I have LSL sliders on mine and have been very efficient in a couple of driveway drops. Don't think anything helps at speed.

Mount on the casing bolts.
