Very little effort normally does little to improve things .Suzuki really does need a new design team ,one under 70 years old.

I suppose 8 years is a long time for a model run with only a few cosmetic changes , but on the other hand , Yamaha managed a 15 year run from the xjr1300 ( this years is different apparently ) http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/designcafe/en/archive/archived-articles/index.aspx?view=article&id=447386 . We can only hope , for the sake of something new it get our hands on , Suzuki are only doing a facelift model to use up excess stock of current parts they have .Otherwise , they may be trying to beat Yamaha's record  Sad  Laughing

The links highlight just how superficial the reports are. Do the testers/journos even bother to research current model deficiencies and comment on whether these have been rectified? No mention of the pathetic headlight (the biggest failing of the "S" model Bandit). No mention of whether it gets a gear position indicator - the current "S" does not have one (and what about temperature readouts?). No comparative statements regarding the suspension (the tests seem to simply state the same specs the current "S" model has - so are they? Or does it have the GSX1250 suspension?).  Is the seat the same as the current model or different? Are there any engine changes? Ditto brakes. Ditto storage spaces. Just give us a definitive list of the updates, please!

The "tests" are rubbish.

I'm thinking it is just a new bit of plastic fairing.  cheers

To pass that off as a new model is a SHAM !  Cannot see this one being any different. If it was sat next to the current one in a showroom, most people would probably not tell the difference. Will end up being the same bad investment as the others. Sorry, but I think we all know that the depreciation on the Bandit is one of the worst. Just as well it has that great engine that we all love.  It makes me wonder what all the bike manufacturers are thinking.  When fuel prices are on the way up and people are looking to save money by commuting on two wheels, why not give them something that is appealing ?

Rant over.  Have a nice day.  Very Happy
