NT, ACT & TAS - Bike Friendly Accomadation
A thread to share pubs, motels, backpackers etc. that will look after bike riders in the NT, ACT & TAS
Bischoff Hotel, Waratah Tasmania
Brilliant!!
A old pub (1909) with basic pub rooms ($55 p/n single), good value meals, picturesque location in a old tin mining town
What sets this place apart from the others is the motorcycle shed,
permanently locked,
occupents get supplied a key
Drying cabinet for gloves and jackets
Drying racks for boots
Hanging racks for jackets
2 young ladies (sisters) from mid coast of NSW run it, their parents own it, dad is a avid motorcyclist
Baz and I are both enjoying a great tea as I type

Bed in a shed
This isn't somewhere I've stayed so can't give it a rating.
On our travels in Tassie, Baz and I were approached by a lady passing through Bicheno and she gave us a stack of business cards for a new motorcyclist specialist accommodation place in Fingal, ironically we were travelling through Fingal that day but already had accommodation sorted for a couple of nights in Launceston.

We had this dream to move to Tasmania and create a brand new accommodation building like no other. A building to accommodate single, couple and group travellers all under one roof , we can accommodate anyone inc, corporate getaways, girls wine and cheese escapades or just for the boys on a trout fishing weekend. Nights in the valley are generally clear which allows for spectacular star gazing conditions. Bush walking, cycling, 4wd forest roads, rec reg trail bike riding and the magnificent Ben Lomond plateau with Tasmania's only ski fields for day trips. So what more could you want? Well there is more, but we will leave that for you to discover.
