mad max 4 fury road
Well I just went and saw this with my wife. Lots of special effects bugger all story. Not sure what to think of it to be honest. I won't give anything away other than his Xb coupe doesn't last long

I'll wait for it to come out on pirate dvd, purely for the fact that they had the hide to close the Cahill expressway, without notice, to promote the movie.
The original movie is a classic. B grade Aussie production adds the reality that all modern cgi flicks can't hope to pull off.
For me, a great story trumps cgi action any day.

Ah, so it stays true with the previous films
Re: mad max 4 fury road
Some of the effects are so ridiculous they were obviously only added to sell the 3d version. The guitar guy is just plain weird, I think someone needed to lay off the crack pipe

Didn't a film critic rate it at 5 stars?
I was tempted to go and see it based on that but perhaps not.

Was going to go see it last night but the times didn't suit us. Ended up seeing the Avengers new movie. Don't bother with that one.

Well I went with my son to see it last night. I originally had some doubts to Tom Hardy portraying Max but I think he did a pretty good job.
As for the movie, action pretty much all the way through. Story line weak and has a hint of thunderdome in it with the overall look of Mad Max 2.
stunts are excellent and don't appear to be CGI (although I'm sure most of it is). The acting is solid.
I'm not exactly sure where this movie fits with the other three movies. In Mad Max 2 the Interceptor had 2 extra fuel tanks and got blown up when Toadie sets off the booby trap. In Fury Road it only has 1 extra tank and also get destroyed. So unless these cars are just lying around in the wasteland ( we wish) I don't see how Max can keep having the same car.
Overall I liked it, and considering I had finished night shift yesterday morning and had only 2 hours sleep, the movie was fast paced enough to keep me awake throughout it.
If you are going to go see it leave your brain at home, you wont need it.
Boy am i gunna cop it when the girlfriend finds out I went to see it without her!............. I like living on the edge

I saw this last night. I normally get bored if there is too much "action", but I was truley enthralled. Action from start to finish and I loved it!

Re: mad max 4 fury road
just watched it, was a bit worried about no Mel Gibson but no need to worry its a mega action movie
Tom Hardy played a good role
plenty of car and bike action, its hardcore stunts not CGI
Hugh Keays-Byrne (Toe Cutter) is in it as Immortan Joe
they are talking of making another 2 movies
Go and see it, just don't expect a follow up from the old movies but it goes along the same lines
except much more action
