Re: Qld Rides
We are at present all spread out. It would be good to set something up.

Re: Qld Rides
What about Longreach. It's about 800 kms from both of us. We could meet at Emerald (roughly halfway), then continue on or continue the next day. Just a thought.

Re: Qld Rides
If you come down this way next month, give me a yell. We may be able to go for a ride to Agnes Waters or 1770. Many Peaks is a good ride as well, some twisty stuff to be had.

Re: Qld Rides
Sounds good, i normally bypass those towns, stick to the Bruce highway, what sort of mileage do you get on the bandit? I used to get bout 280km before reserve on my zrx, but i think ill get less than that on the bandit? Maybe bit better on highway?

Re: Qld Rides
Ok, took me forever to reply, but 5.34l per 100kms seems to be about it depending on speed.

Re: Qld Rides
I fuelled up last Sunday and did a non-stop circuit of 261kms, returning 18.0 kms/litres or 5.56 litres/100km. But the speedo healer is set at -6.1% and I've no idea if it's affecting the odo or just the speedo but I'm suspecting that it is changing the k's on the clock as well as the speed (I need to do some further testing). In other words, it could be as good as 5.24 litres/100km, which would run me dry at 362kms. Mind you, that's with mimimal town k's involved. The 261 kms circuit involved going through the towns of Queenbeyan and Yass only and a few k's to get out and back in to Canberra. Also, I kept it under 120 kmph for most (not all though) of the ride. With a mix of commuting and highway running I'm usually seeing the blinking light comming on at around 190 - 210 k's, giving a total range (ie completely empty) of 280 - 310 kms.
