Motorcycle half-covers
Has anyone used half-covers?
ie the ones that primarily cover just the exposed top surface of the bike - protect from sun/rain etc.
I'm looking for a bit more protection for the bike from the nice tropical elements (sun followed by monsoon followed by sun followed by...), and with the bike as every day transport was wondering about these (as opposed to full covers) cos they'd take up less room in the back pack, wont come in contact with hot exhausts etc when on, and "should" be relatively quick to put on / take off.

Re: Motorcycle half-covers
The cover I got from supa cheap is more of a full cover , but still folds up pretty small ( I leave one at work so I don't have to lug it around ) I suppose the 1/2 covers would at least stop some of the rain & shit getting in where it isn't wanted though .

Motorcycle Half Covers
Where I live we do not see much rain, and I use a dust/sun and shower cover., made from lycra.
It stretches over the bike and you hook it on to your bike with six plastic stretchy hooks. It keeps the sun and dust off the bike. It will also repel a light shower. No more hot seat.
Have a look at http://darksideriders.com.au/ under for sale to see for yourself. One of the ladies from the club makes them (Sharene). Her contact details are on the site if you are interested.

Thanks for that Dingo1963.
I'm not too stressed about the rain, more so about the tropical sun tho, so something like this would fit the bill.
Thanks for the tip.
Bill.
