Shark S900C
Ok heres the lid I accidentally bought yesterday, a Shark S900C. Very comfy. Has a pump up air sac in both cheeks ( keep it clean ) so you can pressurise the lid to fit perfectly. Then its as simple as pushing a little button to release when you take it off. If the air bag lasts it will be fantastic. I have never seen this before, am I way behind the times or is this new? Inbuilt sunnies, really good anti-fog ( apparently ) visor. Carbon composite, cool paint job, all for $369. This is only half a review as I can't comment on wind noise ( again, minds out of the gutter please ). However noisy it is it can't be worse than the lid I'm currently wearing. Stay tuned boys and girls.

Nice one Jim . Is that the actual colour ? I am happy with the Shark I have, but when I tried on the new Shoei I knew I had to have it.

I find that on a really sunny day I can wear non polarising sunnies under my mirrored visor. I find that the flip down tinted visor bottom edge gets in my vision too much. All heads are different.

Keep us updated. My Shark Evoline is too noisy and needs one of its visors replaced. And the vagina on my M2R is getting threadbare and ratty. Its been worked hard though.

Might stick to HJC if you shark runners say they're noisy. Any helmet with a vagina in it has my attention though

Or maybe this as an option ( looks like the steroids may have taken their " toll " though )

Re: Shark S900C
OK heres the rest of the review. A little bit of wind noise but nothing too serious. Ive never experienced no wind noise at all. Much quieter than my current HJC. The fit is really comfortable for me and it hasn't been bedded in yet so Im imagining that has even more room for improvement.. That little air bag feature is great, you can really personalise the fit. Just hope it lasts. Anti-fog visor really is anti-fog it works well. Inbuilt sunnies do what their supposed to do although I felt like there was a little bit of polarising ( rainbow effect of street signs ) maybe its because its brand new and theres a film on it. They are only there as a bonus, you don't have to use them. All in all a pretty good lid for under $400.

Re: Shark S900C
I'm looking forward to trying one on.
I cut the straps of my old HJC on Sunday and sent the photos to IMR as requested (suggested even)

Re: Shark S900C
Its a positive sign if your melon suits a HJC Chris as I only fit HJC and Shark lids. Its certainly not the be all and end all but I think its a pretty good value for money helmet. Good Luck mate.

Jim Coleman has often suggested Shark but I haven't found one type that fits the same as the HJC.
Re: Shark S900C
A few of the helmet makers ( Shark is one of them ) have different size shells for their helmet models to start off with. Some oval shaped. Some rounder. It really is a "science" to find the right helmet for ones melon. The good thing is these days, all of the internals are removable and it is quite easy to get to the foam padding and trim a bit here, and add a bit there. Very seldom does one helmet fit perfectly on two different heads. Jimmy has found one that is pretty close to perfect by the sounds of it. Me too. That is about the best you can get. Unless you are a GP racer and the internals are made exactly for your head.

Re: Shark S900C
Bikebiz have some 900c as D rings and some as a micro buckle. I hate buckles. The 2013 range seem to have the rings.Re-Cycled wrote:2wheelsagain wrote:Do these Sharks have double D rings or a buckle?
Mine has D rings.
Re: Shark S900C
