Shortening standard GSX1250FA exhaust Empty Shortening standard GSX1250FA exhaust

Wet weather stopped me going for a ride, was sitting in the shed wondering what to do when I spotted the genuine exhaust hanging on the wall. With nothing to loose, i.e. a perfectly good Beowulf exhaust on the bike I decided it was time for some surgery. First using a dermal, cut the welds on the 3 screws holding the end cap in place, remove end cap. Next mark the cut point with 2 strips of electrical tape with a 1 mm gap, i.e. the cut zone. Get out the demo saw with a steel blade inserted. Cut the can in half. Modify the internals to suit your sound preference. and this is what you get.
Just need to buy some stainless rivets tomorrow and the job will be done.

Good point, but it was fun tinkering in the shed instead of doing what the boss wanted.

It's still a shortened Bazooka. I've only kept mine in case the cops have a melt down one day about non standard exhausts. I've kept the fender on though, which if you remove it is close to a hanging offence in WA
