Compression tester ....
First topic message reminder :
I part traded an sv 650 which I am real happy with .Luckily ,I now know its NOT all about size .
Thing is ,it has 94,000 kls on it .Heaven knows how I will ever sell it on if the time comes . I have no idea of the history of the bike but someone has cared for it ,seeing it runs very well and in excellent nick .I was (am) curious to know what the compression is to see if its tired (as could be expected ) or it
had a "freshen up" it its past life .
I brought this compression tester from S\Cheap on the way home . $64
They had 2 other types .
One had press on stem that was too short to access a motorcycle plug .$49
One that had a screw in adapter only .They can get jammed into place as engine cools and shrinks .(yes I had it happen )$55
Both useless .
This one looks like it will do the job .
The bits I need for tomorrows test

Kaupy1962 wrote:Yep. That's the one of ebay. $35. Could make one for that. Not bad quality either. Haven't used it yet. Been doing a lot of bike engine rebuilds. Got 3 on the go at the moment. All trailbikes, a 450 quad and a jetski motor sitting on the floor.
If anyone is looking for one at the moment, I think this is the same or similar from www.crazysales.com.au
SKU FS2474
