Outstanding Fuel Economy
Just back from the Drake weekend. Really enjoyable time and well organised. For any that missed it - be there for the next one - or else
I think my bike has overheard some conversations where I am considering upgrading to the current model.
On one leg of today's journey, from Warwick to Nanango, It returned 4.3 litres/100Km (23.2MPG).
Has anyone bettered that result?

Hey B Dave, that's awesome! I didn't do any proper fuel calculations this time around, but it was roughly a smidge over 5l/100kms. But you're cheating, you have an extra gear than me, & fuel injection over my carbies!

Hello Dave, I don't do proper calculation and it would be apples vs oranges.
Just looking at your avatar, no wonder I didn't recognise you at Drake, you weren't wearing the hood!

Hi Steve,
Nothing wrong with 5 litres/100km. I think it has a lot to do with the ratio of town to country driving.
My 06 Bandit averaged 5.8 over 3 years
The 09 Bandit is averaging 5.6 over the last 4 years which I consider largely to it being used to go shopping at the local supermarket (Aldi of course!)
And just for the record, I'm not buying you a new one, buy your bloody own.
I don't know what came over me on the weekend. I didn't tell a single kiwi sheep joke

Hi Peter,
I had my "funny hat and plaits" in the GIVI top box (sorry Gus) but completely forgot about them - Oh well, next time.

23 MPG wouldn't be great,BanditDave wrote:Just back from the Drake weekend. Really enjoyable time and well organised. For any that missed it - be there for the next one - or else

4.3L/100km = 54.7 MPG, that is very good
Re: Outstanding Fuel Economy
Oops, I must have been a little weary after the ride and made a mistake with my calculation - that's my excuse anyway
4.3 litres/100km equals 65.7 MPG (imp) or 54.7 MPG (US)
