Re: lithium battery
so I believe, but what does that really mean?
sustained cold, or any cold?
although I live 500K`s north of you, and live in Gladstone, which is on the coast, ,but a year ago, bought property only 40K`s west of Gladstone, and the temp gets down to -3.
this is in small bursts only, but does happen, so I`m still thinking!

Lithium batteries are often in devices like watches, clocks, mobile phones and MP3 players. All lithium batteries are now classified as dangerous goods. They can't be carried by air.
Australia Post can't accept lithium batteries or devices containing them for mailing overseas or for domestic air carriage. These can only be transported within Australia by road transport.

Re: lithium battery
How would they know? Mobile phones etc come via air all the time so doubtful it will be an issue. Keen to hear how you get on as I have just replaced mine with an agm battery

Tks 2wheelsagain. AGM - Post can carry, lithium & lead acid - dangerous goods.
This is the one that I am looking at. 290 CCA, it's size is similar to the OEM.

Re: lithium battery
Poor Bandit has not been looked at for 2 months now .Yesterday I needed to move it . Normally with a standard battery I would have expected it to struggle to start.
With the lithium it burst into life like it had just done a road trip ,no lag or strain, just power .I'm impressed
