Gday all,

Just joined the forum,

I picked up my first bike on Monday afternoon, Its a 2013 GSX650FU LAMS and Ive already put 250k's on it lol Smile

Im very happy with the bike and keen to get as many k's under my belt as possible over the next year or so to get my experience up enough to move to a non-restricted bike.

See ya all round the traps and ride safe.

Cheers guys. I very happy finally have a motorbike after years of erasing one and not getting one. I'm looking forward to plenty of riding and good times.

One thing I've been very pleased to experience is getting what I've started calling "the nod" from other riders. It's really nice when someone you dont know nods at you as they are riding past, sort of saying Gday mate. Its like I'm back in the out back of NT where I grew up where everyone waved to each other when they drove past to say Gday.

Hi Wagman and welcome aboard.  You will have to come on a ride sometime and meet some of the members.  Enjoy.

Wagon wheels!  Welcome to the forum.  The 650 is an interesting choice for your LAMS bike.

Ha ha yeh Paul wagnman's kinda become my "cyber ID" over the years of being on various forums. The first forum I ever joined was ls1. Com way back when I had a tidy ss wagon and I guess the name stuck. I must admit some trolls have tried to mix the g and the n up to upset me at times but I'm fat to laid back to rise to the bait lol.

Ewok: I'm 6'5 and 125kgs so not many lams bikes would lug me about to easily do the gsx650f was the one I settled on after riding big and small trailies, the ninja 650 and s couple of abortive attempts to squeeze myself onto a 250.... imagine a great dane humping a chihuahua and you'll basically get the picture lol.

Ahhh.  Wont be long till you move up to the Bandit then.  Twisted Evil  You can raise the seat and lower the footpegs.  Ideal.

Hammy that sounds ideal. I have mates in the uk that have turbo bandits (crazy buggers) and I've always liked their bikes. Good to hear the seat and pegs are adjustable.
