New Bandit owner from Perth.
First topic message reminder :
Hi, found the forum while researching Bandits. Just bought an '08 model. I've been riding for 5 years and prior to the Bandit I rode a Honda Hornet 600.
It came with a Yoshimura pipe, and I'll be fitting the Renthals from my Hornet for the wide, aggressive riding position I love through the twisties.

I'm comparing it to my last helmet which was a Shoei XR1100. HelmetReardo wrote:Looks like a good setup mate.
I'm interested in what that helmet performs like.?
Field of view is excellent.
Sun visor/peak blocks sun the middle of the day.
Wind noise is considerably louder. However with ear plugs or in ear headphones you don't hear it because it's a high pitched noise rather than a low rumble.
Changing between clear and tinted visors is a 5 minute job which requires a flathead screwdriver.
The helmet is actually very stable on my head at highway cruising speeds. Headchecks require you to duck your chin because it does pull your head back if in the wrong position.
Google reviews on the helmet. All positive. At half the price of a Shoei XR1100 I thought it was a good deal.

Nice bags. Very sleek looking. Not sure about a MX helmet though.

Rode to Bridgetown yesterday morning, then out to Busselton. Storm started coming in so i decided to ride home again rather than camp. Ended up being a 750km ride all up.

Looks good. Not so sure about the off-road kinda helmet though, isnt that more suitable for a more upright style of riding, such as Adventurer/tourer.. anyways, whatever floats ya boat.
I almost went home with a sports helmet, when in fact i needed something more upright for the honda cb400, as was suggested by Peter Stevens. Now that Honda is gone, im wishing id bought the sports helmet lol
