New Bandit owner from Perth.
Hi, found the forum while researching Bandits. Just bought an '08 model. I've been riding for 5 years and prior to the Bandit I rode a Honda Hornet 600.
It came with a Yoshimura pipe, and I'll be fitting the Renthals from my Hornet for the wide, aggressive riding position I love through the twisties.

Welcome to the forum mate. Interesting User name, Is that your occupation:?:
Re: New Bandit owner from Perth.
That bike looks in good nick. Other than the exhaust it appears to be stock. Aren't the stock indicators horrible. Once the weather fines up a bit and I can swing my leg over the bike again us WA riders need to organise a ride to the Dwellingup or Quindanning pub

Honestly couldn't fault it. Showroom condition. Checked the bike from top to bottom. It's an 08 but was delivered in 2010.reddog wrote:That bike looks in good nick. I'm always keen to go for a country ride. Haven't been on the old Toodyay/Northam run for a while now. Long weekend coming up, myself and a group of mates are riding down to Albany then on to Margaret river. The Bandit came with Givi panniers which should make camping easier than on my Hornet 600. Also looking forward to sitting on lower RPMs. At 120kph the Hornet would sit on 6000rpm which, with a loud pipe, really was annoying after a while.

ha, you should have ridden my old 250.. sat on about 8000-9000 rpm at 110.... guess it wasn't too loud by comparison thoughSpeed Dealer wrote:Honestly couldn't fault it. Showroom condition. Welcome to the forum (I'm another newb).
Wish I had a bike I could ride over in WA. My parents live there, and I get there once in a while (I'm east), but I just can't see myself riding over the nullabor at 110kmh.... would love to have a spin in that green triangle.

Re: New Bandit owner from Perth.
If you head over on or just before the 1st weekend in August (every year) you can head to the Border Rally that happens at Border Village road house. Then head the rest of the way to W.A. with those that are heading home in the West. Who sits on 110 on the Nullabor anyway?Wish I had a bike I could ride over in WA. Yes there are plenty of good roads in WA. The triangle is certainly worth riding and is about 50kms from my house

I went and picked the bike up today at lunch time in Kalamunda and rode out to Fremantle. I'm in love. So much useable power.
One question, what does occasional exhaust popping when slowing down indicate?

Cheers mate. Nah, I don't care if it pops, as long as there's nothing more sinister wrong.Reardo wrote:Easy fixed, If you don't like the popping.Speed Dealer wrote:I went and picked the bike up today at lunch time in Kalamunda and rode out to Fremantle. I'm in love. So much useable power.

A fair point.... if only I knew where to look for info on where the cops hang out so I could ride more appropriately the rest of the time....Cal wrote:Who sits on 110 on the Nullabor anyway?Wish I had a bike I could ride over in WA. Looks like a good setup mate.
I'm interested in what that helmet performs like.?

Re: New Bandit owner from Perth.
Over 110 and the visor would be making the helmet choke you I reckon would make you stick to the speed limit at least haha.
